Ad-Aware Anniversary Edition Free is Lavasoft’s freeware anti-spyware software that is available for home, non-commercial use. It is offered to consumers worldwide to protect their personal and home computers from malware attacks, and has been downloaded over 350 million times worldwide.
The download includes real-time protection (users are protected as they use the Internet), skins, help manuals and the latest definition files, however, anti-virus protection is not included with this version. Other advanced features are available in the paid versions of Ad-Aware Anniversary Edition. It may not appear free in the full sense of that term as they push using the services of a co-sponsor… but you can choose to download it directly from an option on the same page.
